CONCERT DANI KLEIN & SAL LA ROCCA

La chanteuse Dani Klein a été un des trois membres fondateurs du groupe Vaya con Dios qui a vendu plus de dix millions d’albums et s’est produit dans le monde entier pendant 30 ans. Le contrebassiste jazz Sal La Rocca a joué avec les plus grands, se produit avec sa propre formation et a rejoint Vaya con Dios il y a une dizaine d’années.
Après les concerts d’adieu du groupe en octobre au Lotto Arena et à Forest National, ils mettent en commun leur amour du jazz en ce qui concerne Sal et l’amour que Dani a pour la chanteuse Billie Holiday en formant un quartet avec le pianiste William Lecomte (qui accompagne Vaya con Dios depuis des années, mais aussi Jean-Luc Ponty) ainsi qu’avec Tim De Jonghe, jeune trompettiste qui a lui aussi fait partie du groupe. Ils présenteront un répertoire composé des chansons les plus gaies de
Billie Holiday.

Singer Dani Klein was one of the three founding members of Vaya con Dios, who sold more than ten million albums and have performed all around the world for 30 years. The jazz double-bassist Sal La Rocca has played with all the greats, as well as with his own formation, and joined Vaya con Dios around ten years ago. _ Following their farewell concerts at the Lotto Arena and Forest National, they have combined their love of jazz and of Billie Holiday. Together they form half of a quartet with pianist William Lecomte (who for years worked with Vaya con Dios, as well as with Jean-Luc Ponty) and Tim De Jonghe, a young trumpeter who was also part of the group. Together they will delight us with a repertoire of Billie Holiday’s most joyous songs.
